Keytar Hero is an action packed Rhythm matching beat'em up game. Match attacks to the beat to gain power, and obliterate your foes.
The game prototype was developed as a collaboration project for university, I was in charge of game design and a majority of game mechanics and systems, there where specialized visual artists for 3D and 2D assets and a music/ audio specialist for sound design.
The game has; a scalable dynamic combo system, dynamic music and audio, input beat matching mechanics, live player skill detection, multiple AI enemy types and lots more. We utilized Unity as the game engine, as well as FMOD for audio immigration.
The base game demo was developed over the course of three months.
